Before joining C12 as its Central California Chair, Bryan spent 30 years as a business banker serving California’s Central Valley. In 1999, Bryan became the founding President of Service 1st Bank. While serving as President, Service 1st Bank became a top-ranked profitability performer before its successful sale in 2008.
Over the past 30 years, Bryan has served on a variety of civic, college, and charitable boards. He founded The Business Leadership Summit in 1993 and served as its President for 7 years. Bryan was also named “Citizen of the Year” in 1998 by the Stockton Life Underwriters Association.
As a career bank executive, and particularly through the Service 1st Bank experience, Bryan has developed a solid first-hand understanding of the challenges and opportunities that come with being a C.E.O.
Bryan’s C12 mission is to become an agent for positive change within the local business community through the study and application of Biblical management principles; and contemporary business thought leadership.
Bryan and his wife, Debi, were married at Vinewood Community Church (Lodi, CA) in 1979. They have 3 grown children (Tim, Tommy, and Kimberli) and one grandson, Maxwell James Hyzdu, born Easter Sunrise 2010. Debi has served as Co-Director of the Vinewood Church Pre-School since 1992, and Bryan continues to serve on the Vinewood Church Elder Board. Bryan is also passionate about bringing fresh water to the planet’s “thirsty bottom billion” through his well-drilling mission work in Guatemala with Living Water, International.
